Firefly - Chenin Blanc / Sauvignon Blanc

The presence of fireflies on a farm is a sign that organic pest control is alive and well. The larvae of the Lampyridae family are carnivores that prey on snails, while the vegetarian adult fireflies spend the greater part of their short lives pursuing love, rather than food. The current scarcity of fireflies is a consequence of the widespread use of chemical snail repellant.
